Asic Test Engineer

What are you working on at Keysight?

I’m working to enable the programming of the Sirius ASIC, a Digital to Analog Converter. The ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) has been sent for tape release and it’s my job to develop the software that enables communication with the chip through the 93k tester when parts comes back from the fab. The software will first be used to interface with a simulator and should also be able to communicate through the tester when it comes time for turn on.

What do you like best about working with your team?

I like the broad range of disciplines that test engineering requires. Working with the test engineering team, I have learned about software design, understanding the functionality of various ASICs, and even hardware design.

If you could give one piece of advice to future interns, what would it be?

Do not be afraid to ask questions. As a new intern, you are immediately immersed in so much information that can be difficult to comprehend but keep asking questions and don't be discouraged.
