For undergraduates

Spring insight

Get on the front foot

We're looking for curiosity and a collaborative spirit.

Our Spring Insight programme is a fantastic opportunity for forward-thinking students to get ahead of the game.

A combination of practical workshops, business presentations and networking opportunities will give you a good feel for what it’s like to work at one of the world’s leading investment banks. In addition to giving you an in-depth introduction to our business and people, the programme covers hot topics in the wider industry too.

Hopefully, the insight gained over the week leaves you keen to experience more. If so, we could fast-track you onto our Summer Internship. So, what are you waiting for?

What we're looking for

The programme is open to first-year undergraduates. Regardless of the degree you’re studying, it’s your analytical mind and keen interest in financial markets that will really set you apart.

Internships

Find your way in our world

Our internships are a great way to find your way around the banking world, before committing to a career in it.

In addition to outstanding training and dedicated support, you’ll get every opportunity to prove yourself, as you’ll be working on live projects with real responsibility. Who knows, this could be the start of something special. Because, if you impress, you could be invited to join our renowned graduate programme.

Key requirements

We consider diversity as integral to our ongoing success, particularly diversity of thought. So, more important than the subject you’re studying (or studied), is a real passion and desire to excel on this career path.

  • On track for a 2:1/achieved a 2:1 in your Bachelor’s degree. For the summer internship, you can be a final year student if you have confirmation that you will be completing a masters the following year.
  • A degree in any STEM subject – although Mathematics, Finance, Science, Engineering and Computer Science are the most relevant.
  • Analytical skills and mathematical aptitude
  • Determination and an inquisitive mind-set
  • A collaborative outlook
  • Ambition.
Summer Internships
What's it all about?

Our summer internships are designed to give penultimate-year students an insight into our world. After 9 weeks, you’ll have gained enough knowledge and experience to decide if it’s a world you’d like to explore further.

An initial week-long induction, formal training classes, workshops, speaker series, and networking and social events combine to give you a real flavour of life at BNP Paribas. Additionally, the opportunity to shadow colleagues will give you up-close exposure and an understanding as to where your skills may lie.

The selection process includes online psychometric tests and an assessment centre. The programme is popular and the competition’s high, so make sure you prepare well for the best chance of landing a place.

Long-term Internships
What's it all about?

As the name suggests, our long-term internships are the perfect platform to launch a long-term career with us. Between 6 and 11 months, you’ll develop an in-depth knowledge of the investment banking sector and where you could fit in. They’re open to both students on a placement year, or graduates who completed their studies under a year ago.

While high academic performance is important, the subject of your degree is less so. Essentially, it’s your curiosity and determination, allied to a strong collaborative spirit, that will really help you succeed on the programme and beyond.
