Where the STEM jobs are
During your placement, you will:
Every time has its energy. Times are changing. Society is changing. Companies are changing. And we are changing, too. We are now one of the worlds largest power producers in wind and solar energy. We supply electricity which is clean, reliable and affordable.
Ideally, the degree you are studying will be Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. However, if your degree is in a similar Engineering, Maths or Science discipline and you have an interest in the energy industry, we’d love to hear from you!
As well as a competitive salary you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our business.
You will be given support to help develop your skills and achieve your long term ambitions, including helping you to capture evidence of your work so that you can talk confidently about your personal achievements whilst working for RWE.
RWE Generation UK’s Pembroke Power Station is one of the largest and most efficient combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) power stations in Europe, with an output of 2,200MW – enough to power 3.5 million homes.
The station is also located adjacent to a Marine Special Area of Conservation. We embrace our responsibility towards the environment and are committed to continually improving our environmental performance.
RWE has reliably supplied people and companies with electricity for more than 120 years. The way we generate power is changing fundamentally and RWE is driving this change.
RWE is committed to be carbon-neutral by 2040, and to generating electricity in a clean, safe and affordable way.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organisation and to valuing the contribution that our employees make. We welcome and respect differences in culture, background, working style, education and other less obvious differences.
We will be holding an Assessment Centre on the 12th/13th February for this role and recommend you keep this date free in your diary to ensure you are able to attend if invited.
