Most of our facilities have gyms and run fitness classes, and every employee has access to the INEOS Energy Station digital wellness hub, which provides fitness classes, discounts, events and many company-wide challenges.
We support and encourage a healthy lifestyle for our employees.
We believe that it is of key importance to their physical health and mental wellbeing, and helps promote a good work-life balance.
We have equipped many of our production sites and offices with gyms on the premises. Where that has not yet been done, we subsidise access to external gyms. Employees can use the gym to their own programme, or sign up to fitness and other classes at their location. During the Covid pandemic many classes were delivered online.
All employees can book classes, check on fitness, health and lifestyle tips, and share experiences through INEOS Energy Station. This is a comprehensive online health and fitness hub that provides information on health and well being, training, company wide events and challenges. It is open to all, and was particularly valuable for engaging employees in a wide range of activities when many had to work from home due to country restrictions during the pandemic. The platform has thousands of users. For example, during the 2020 Tour de France, over 1800 employees from all continents used the platform to form 83 teams to take on the challenge of collectively matching the distance ridden by the professional cyclists each day of the Tour.
