Telent is delighted to announce that it is sponsoring this year’s UK Black Business Week from 2-7 October 2023. UK Black Business Week is one of the largest events of its kind in the UK and Europe.
It brings together some of the biggest companies in the world alongside leading black entrepreneurs and professionals from across the country, with up to 10,000 attendees last year alone. Since its launch in 2017, the event has migrated from a one-day conference to a whole week of sessions and presentations.
“Sponsoring this week-long event ties into all the work Telent’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) Steering Group is doing in this space and represents a major next step in our ED&I journey,” said Heather Green, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Sponsor for ED&I at Telent. “We are delighted to join other like-minded companies in sponsoring UK Black Business Week and look forward to engaging with entrepreneurs and professionals around the UK.”
In addition to sponsoring the week’s activities, Telent Asset Manager Daniel Meikle will also join the ‘Black Men Business Talks’ panel discussion, alongside four prominent representatives from companies across the UK. The panel offers the opportunity to learn about effective growth strategies for business development and career success. The panel will be held at 6pm on 3 October in the ILEC Conference Centre, London.
Following previous internal “Live Talk” discussion sessions held by Telent’s Black Professionals Community, Telent is proud to be joining more than 200 companies in sponsoring UK Black Business Week. All our colleagues from around the business are invited to attend the event.
