As a Sellafield Ltd. graduate you will complete a 24-month programme alongside our smart community of ambitious, sociable and driven graduates from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.
In the two years that you’re a part of the scheme, we’ll give you all the support you need to achieve chartered status and the opportunity to do placements in a variety of business areas. We’ll ensure we maximise your skills, confidence and experience.
You will work alongside industry leading experts, who will challenge and mentor you in equal measures to ensure you are developing in your chosen field.

For engineering subjects, a Masters level degree is highly preferred in all cases and for some disciplines essential.
We recruit for various professions across our business, therefore we ask you to consider which profession area is your preferred option during your application. Please visit ‘Graduates > Programme Areas’ to learn more about each profession and the types of work you could be involved in.
Although we ask you to select a preferred profession area, we will get to know you through the application process to ensure that where you are placed is the best fit for you.
Below is a list of the professions we recruit for and suitable degree disciplines;
Commercial – Suitable degrees: Quantity Surveying or related degrees.
Commissioning - Suitable degrees: Engineering based degree disciplines.
Construction - Suitable degrees: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Design Engineering - Suitable degrees: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Plant Engineering - Suitable degrees: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
Project Management & Controls - Suitable degrees: Various degree backgrounds with a keen interest in Project Management & Controls. Previous graduates have came from Engineering and Science related degrees.
Safety Support - Suitable degrees: STEM based disciplines with a strong interest the safety profession.
Technical - Suitable degrees: Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Science degrees.
Aptitude test - You will complete an online aptitude test in August 2017 – September 2017
Telephone interview – Telephone interviews will commence in September 2017 – October 2017
Assessment centre – Successful applicants will be invited to an assessment centre in October 2017 – November 2017.
Start date – The anticipated start date for the 2018 graduate scheme is late September 2018.
