Role Outline/Responsibilities

Typical Responsibilities:

  • HSE and Technical Safety relevant to discipline
  • Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet Intecsea, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget.
  • Perform discipline specific engineering services such as:
    • Identify and report changes to scope;
    • Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
    • Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and reports.
    • Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required.
    • Communicate effectively with the discipline team and project stakeholders.
    • Establish and maintain good working relationships within Intecsea, with its clients and other stakeholders.
    • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance if required.

Job Specific:

  • Developing technical and practical engineering skills in the relevant discipline.
  • Developing knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines.
  • In the relevant discipline or field, developing knowledge of applicable local standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and in discipline specific software.

  • Able to work on multiple projects of various size and complexity.
  • Able to work effectively in small to large multi-disciplinary teams and share and transfer knowledge within teams.


  • Vacation Student experience in an engineering environment.
  • Subsea industry knowledge not essential


  • Relevant Engineering Degree (e.g. Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, structural) – Grade 2:1 or above

QHSE Requirements:

  • Learns & ensures compliance with the Intecsea Enterprise Management System, including preparing of project specific procedures and in accordance with HSE Guideline for Intecsea Personnel.

General Accountabilities:

  • Comply and keep up-to-date with the behaviour and business practices outlined in Intecsea Processes, and with all applicable laws, regulations and standards.

  • Deliver quality services and demonstrate a commitment to understand and meet customer needs.

  • Travel as required, including travel related to projects and to maintain links with other Intecsea offices.
  • Act in the best interests of Intecsea at all times.
  • Perform any other duties that are reasonably required from time to time.
