Our Summer Internship Programme is an eight-week internship taking place June through August.
This programme is designed to provide students with a challenging, meaningful and supportive internship experience that replicates, as closely as possible, the experience of being a full-time BlackRock Analyst. The programme begins with an orientation that offers a thorough overview of the firm and the opportunity to hear from a number of senior leaders.
Students & Graduates application tips
If you're applying to our student and graduate programming, check out this video for application tips that will help you throughout your application process.
Following orientation, interns receive on-the-job training and are given day-to-day responsibilities to contribute to their teams throughout the summer. Programming also features a speaker series, mentoring and various networking opportunities, including activities with our employee networks.
If you enjoy this programme, you should explore our Full-Time Analyst Programme, which you can consider applying to after your internship.
About the team
Corporate Strategy & Development focuses on the firm’s most consequential strategic questions - partnering with senior leadership to define long-term priorities, evaluate major growth opportunities, and lead corporate development activity, including acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic transactions.
Financial Planning & Analysis provides the financial architecture that underpins these decisions: leading the firm’s budgeting and forecasting processes, developing and analysing key performance metrics, and assessing the cost and revenue dynamics that drive long-term value creation.
What will you do as an Analyst?
Conduct industry and competitive research to evaluate market trends, client dynamics and emerging business models across asset management and adjacent sectors.
Support the execution of key strategic initiatives and projects that advance the firm’s long-term strategy.
Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities that inform management decisions, partnering with senior stakeholders to provide context and tell the story behind the numbers.
Evaluate business opportunities globally, including acquisitions, partnerships and joint ventures.
Work across teams to provide periodic updates on business/regional performance and strategy (e.g., budgeting, forecasting, performance tracking, variance analysis).
Build and maintain financial models to support business cases, scenario analysis and strategic initiatives.
Partner collaboratively with colleagues across F&S and the broader organisation to drive alignment and execution.
Contribute to cross‑functional and ad hoc initiatives aligned with firm‑wide priorities and long‑term strategy.
Enhance and automate research and project workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability.
