After finishing my degree, I left university feeling completely prepared for working life. Having spent four years learning about electronics, I thought I knew enough to begin work. I was wrong. University teaches you a lot of fundamental knowledge needed but does not come close to preparing you for a full-time job. Therefore, starting work came as a shock.
Luckily, I found myself on Sondrel’s graduate programme. The appeal of Sondrel was the chance to do interesting work on a variety of different projects, the opportunity to travel and the emphasis that was placed on learning. After my first few weeks at Sondrel, I realised that the graduate programme is better than I could have hoped for. The main aim of the programme is to teach the graduates all the necessary skills. The programme has been flexible so content and targets have been changed to allow more time for unexpected issues (such as most graduates never having used Linux before) and everyone at Sondrel has created a great environment to work, learn and made the transition into work as easy as possible.
