About the role

This role will provide you a holistic view of marketing, in the real world, where you will actively contribute to building either our Kenco or Tassimo brands! Kenco is one of the UK’s most loved coffee brands, featuring in the Grocers list of Britain’s Biggest Brands, moving up 5 places to #54 in 2021.

Tassimo plays a leading role in transforming the way we drink coffee in the UK – making it possible to enjoy a wide range of coffee shop style drinks at the touch of a button in your own home.  

Through this internship you will build capability in brand marketing, market intelligence, digital marketing, Customer Marketing, and potential Event Management. You will lead exciting marketing projects with support and training from the UK&I Marketing Team and agencies.

You will have exposure in category innovation and renovation projects, product portfolio development, design & artwork evolution and in-store activation. You will be actively involved in brand performance tracking and analysis.

The successful candidate will be curious and passionate about brands and consumers, actively bringing market trends and insight to the business. 

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Supporting the creation of compelling marketing activation plans and toolkits, which leverage your ability to story tell and your creative flair, for an internal and/or external audience. 
  • Providing actionable insight to the business using a wide range of business intelligence and industry sources Nielsen, Kantar, IPSOS as well as retailer specific insight. 
  • Be a brand ambassador for your brand and category, bringing brand passion to life through-out the organisation. 
  • Co-ordinating Marketing administration – including managing the Marketing Training calendar, Product Information library and leading our understanding of marketplace, industry and competitive intelligence 
  • Support the Brand Manager(s)/ Category Manager on range/portfolio management, including leadership of ‘adaptation’ projects, packaging artwork process, and deployment in store through powerful sell-in and launch.

Job requirements

  • Studying in a relevant field, such as Business or Marketing or have marketing modules in your degree
  • A real passion for marketing and a desire for a marketing career in the future
  • A can-do attitude and a drive to continuously improve, develop new skills and make a difference
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills
  • A team player who thrives on working with different stakeholders within and outside the business
  • Strong excel skills and an analytical mindset
  • Effective Project management skills
  • Technologically savvy with an interest in digital marketing
