Specifications Technologist

Chemistry, Physics, Data, Computer Science.

About the role

The role involves creating, updating, and approving product specifications and pack copies for our brands and retail customers. You’ll make sure all technical information, specifications and artwork follow current legislation and retailer requirements.

You’ll work closely with suppliers, NPD managers & technologists, account managers, customers, and marketers to keep specifications accurate and delivered on time. You’ll also be the go-to person for any specification-related queries, both within Froneri Ice Cream and from customers.

Part of the role includes keeping up with new legislation that affects specifications and pack copy, helping with general technical queries, and making sure our approach to specifications stays consistent across the business. You’ll communicate customer requirements to internal teams, gather and organise specification-related documents, and maintain raw material and customer specification files.

Your responsibilities

You’ll be expected to make sure all specifications and pack copies are completed accurately and delivered on time. Specifications should be properly filed, kept up-to-date, and easy for others to access whenever they need them. Customer reference data also needs to be well maintained and readily available. Any issues that come up during audits should be dealt with and fully resolved.

You’ll ensure that all artwork and packaging are legally compliant. Part of the job involves working with people inside and outside the business to make sure everyone has the information they need.
