This is a developmental role designed to help you build your skills in instructional design, digital content creation and technical communication while contributing to meaningful projects that support our global service organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting SMEs and content developers to capture and organise technical knowledge.
  • Assisting with the creation of e-learning modules, video content, animations and supporting learning materials.
  • Helping to develop storyboards, scripts and learner journeys using established instructional design approaches.
  • Updating and maintaining existing training materials to reflect product and technical changes.
  • Following established templates, processes and quality standards to ensure content consistency.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of learning content, tools and processes.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across global teams to help ensure training materials are clear, accurate and user-friendly.
  • Contributing ideas and feedback to improve learning resources and learner engagement.

We are looking for someone who is adaptable, curious and eager to learn; someone who can embrace new technologies, including AI, build strong working relationships, and use critical thinking and creativity to solve problems and make a positive impact.

What You'll Bring

  • Currently studying towards a degree in Learning Design, Digital Media, Content Development, Education Technology, Multimedia, Engineering or a related subject.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to organise information clearly and logically.
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to work with people from different teams and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other common productivity tools.

  • Exposure to e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 or similar platforms.
  • Experience creating videos, graphics, animations or other digital content through university, personal or project work.
  • Awareness of instructional design principles or adult learning concepts.
  • An interest in engineering, manufacturing, technical service or product support environments.
  • Experience simplifying complex information for different audiences.
  • An interest in emerging digital technologies, including AI.

What We'll Offer You

  • A structured placement with support, guidance and mentoring from experienced professionals.
  • Opportunities to develop practical skills in instructional design, digital learning and content creation.
  • Full training and support throughout your placement.
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme and wellbeing benefits.
  • Pension and life assurance benefits.
  • Salary sacrifice benefits, including cycle-to-work and local gym membership schemes.
  • Generous annual leave entitlement.
  • A friendly, inclusive and collaborative working environment.
  • Opportunities to connect with other students and colleagues across the business.

Can I use AI to apply?

Technology supports and enhances our work, but it does not define it. That should be the same for your application: use technology to support and enhance your story if you want to, although we encourage you to not let AI tell it for you!
