The University of Edinburgh Civil Engineering Society is open to all students and non-students. CivSoc aims to host events in the form of lectures/presentations, site visits and networking events to allow students from all years to hear from industry professionals and academics in different stages of their careers and working on a broad range of projects.
The society also hosts an annual dinner, academic family events and has intramural sports teams, with an overall aim to improve the student experience at Edinburgh by building a civil engineering community that bridges staff, students and year groups. We also host socials throughout the year, which includes pub crawls, nights out and quizzes.
