We are the first society in Aston to accommodate engineers from all disciplines.
We hold socials to get to know other engineers and other academic societies around the university.
The society was established in 2015 and our committee consisted of 9 members.
We also organise trips to visit companies and research centres.

Aims

Aston Engineering Society aims to bring together students from all academic areas of the University, who have a very keen interest in engineering and want to share their ideas and opinions with a like-minded community.

Objectives

Numerous events which support society members will be held every month across term times 1 & 2. These events will be wide and have different development focuses.

  • Organising career events to boost your CV.
  • Hold socials to get to know other engineers and other academic societies around the university.
  • Run workshops for career and personal development.
  • Provide networking opportunities with various companies and professionals from industry.
  • Organise trips to visit companies and research centres.
  • Offer a forum for students to discuss the course and ask for support with studies.
  • Provide important information and help regarding your academic studies.

All these aspects will combine to develop society members and their awareness of the real engineering world.
