The University of Manchester Women in Business Society is a student-led society with the goal to empower and inspire women and gender non-conforming individuals within all fields of business. Our society is open to students from all degree backgrounds.
Inclusivity and empowerment are at the core of our values. That is why we drive forward a supportive network which leverages and enhances talent to excel on both professional and personal levels in the industry.
Through partnerships with both start-ups and corporate giants, the society organises careers and social networking events for its members and hosts inspiring talks from expert speakers trailblazing a path for women in the business industry.
Build Your Own Brand (Workshop Series Session I) - 13/10/2022 - Our ‘Building Your Brand’ event aims to empower our members by building their corporate and personal brands that can be translated into the workplace and increase employability. Women in Finance Event - In collaboration with MUTIS and BNY Mellon (amongst others!) - 16/11/22 - An opportunity for students from different backgrounds at any point of their academic career at University to gain insight into pursuing a career in Finance. Sessions would feature panellists working in areas such as Investment Banking, Equity Research and Financial Advisory - attendees would have the opportunity to ask directed questions to industry professionals working with the most prolific financial services firms. This session would also include a networking session - where driven students can meet like-minded peers and chat with alumni and guest speakers in an informal manner.
