"What I’ve enjoyed most about my time at Jaguar Land Rover was being able to introduce new ideas and processes and seeing them through to completion."
My name is Chris Mann and I am a Graduate Engineer Power Test Operations in Whitley. My initial perception of Jaguar Land Rover was that it was a massive company and I’d just get lost, but everyone was really friendly and really helpful during my first couple of weeks and helped me settle in. What I’ve enjoyed most about my time at Jaguar Land Rover was being able to introduce new ideas and processes and seeing them through to completion.
Jaguar Land Rover has lived up to what I thought it would be like. I’ve been put into quite a challenging role and I’m always kept busy with interesting tasks that my managers asked me to do. What has surprised me while working at Jaguar Land Rover is how much responsibility you’re given from the beginning but there’s always someone to help you along the way if you do get stuck.
There’s a big graduate community at Jaguar Land Rover, and the apprentice and graduate society arranges events throughout the year. My advice to new starters would be to ask questions. Don’t be afraid to ask questions as there is always someone to help you. Try to get involved with as many projects as you possibly can to gain the best experiences.
