Halo does things differently.

We don’t hire experienced people into senior roles. Everyone starts at the beginning, learns the business properly and progresses from within. The people leading Halo today came through the same system.

How it works

You’ll spend your first few weeks learning Halo, the product and how our customers work, before starting as a Support Technician. Support is where everyone begins because it gives you a proper understanding of the software and the organisations using it. You’ll work directly with customers, investigate problems and take on more as your knowledge grows.

From there, the route isn’t fixed. Many graduates move into a form of Consultancy, while others find they’re better suited to another part of Halo. You progress when you’re ready and into the work that suits you best.

Why Halo?

Halo is a privately owned British software company. We develop, sell, implement and support our own products in-house, with customers around the world. That gives graduates a lot of exposure early on. You can be speaking directly to customers from the start, taking on meaningful responsibility and travelling internationally to work with organisations overseas. Graduates have done that within their first year.

The company is built around developing people rather than buying in experience. There’s no graduate rotation or fixed timetable. You learn from people who started where you did, build up your knowledge and move forward from there.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need a technology degree or previous software experience. We recruit from any degree subject. A 2:1 degree and BBB or higher at A-Level are preferred, rather than automatic cut-offs. You’ll also need unrestricted right to work and remain in the UK.

The scheme is permanent, full-time and office-based from our Ipswich HQ.

We offer flexible start dates throughout the year.

We've signed the Gradcracker feedback pledge.
(This means that we will supply feedback if requested after an interview.)
