"After finishing my studies my goal was to start a career in a company focused on combatting climate change and fighting for Net Zero. When I found newcleo's graduate scheme I knew at once it was ideal. I was really inspired by the ambition and innovation of the company's plans and the energy of the start-up culture.
My background is in astrophysics and particle physics, and during my PhD at Sheffield I worked on methods for imaging nuclear waste containers and geological disposal facilities. My nuclear experience has been valuable but there are so many training and learning opportunities available I feel like I've got up to speed very fast.
One thing I've noticed since I've started is that the whole team is really committed to the goal - there's a sense of a shared mission and a real energy behind everything. It's also a really friendly and welcoming environment!"
