Graduate/Entry-Level Aerospace Manufacturing Roles

Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Aerospace. 2 vacancies.

We are looking for two bright, practical and detail-focused people to join our manufacturing business in entry-level roles within Quality Inspection and Costing Engineering.

These are not intended to be narrow desk-based graduate jobs. We want to give successful candidates a strong understanding of how a modern manufacturing business actually works.

During your first months with us, you will spend significant time working across the shop floor and supporting departments, learning how parts are manufactured, inspected, costed, documented and ultimately delivered to customers.

Depending on the role, your work could include:

  • Quality inspection and measurement of manufactured components.
  • Reading and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Supporting quality and compliance documentation.
  • Reviewing customer RFQs and helping prepare quotations.
  • Developing manufacturing routings and process plans.
  • Obtaining material, component and subcontract costs.
  • Supporting New Product Introduction.
  • Production and engineering administration.
  • Working alongside machinists, sheet-metal teams, assembly, quality and engineering.
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
  • Learning how customer requirements flow through the factory from quotation to finished product.

Both positions will initially involve approximately 6–13 weeks of structured shop-floor experience, giving you exposure to different manufacturing processes and departments.

We are particularly interested in people who are:

  • Meticulous and naturally attentive to detail.
  • Curious about how things are made.
  • Hard-working and willing to get involved.
  • Comfortable working both on the shop floor and in an office environment.
  • Organised and dependable.
  • Confident asking questions and learning from experienced people.
  • Interested in developing a long-term career within manufacturing.

Previous manufacturing experience is not essential.

Knowledge of SolidWorks, CAD, engineering drawings or manufacturing processes would be useful, but we are much more interested in finding the right personality and attitude than someone who already knows everything.

Where could it lead?

We want these positions to be the beginning of a career rather than simply a first job.

As you gain experience and demonstrate your strengths, opportunities may develop in areas such as:

  • Quality Engineering
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Costing and Estimating
  • New Product Introduction
  • Planning
  • Supply Chain
  • Commercial
  • Project Management
  • Customer/Account Management

We also encourage continued professional development and will support appropriate technical and professional training courses as your career develops.

If you are practical, curious, careful and want to understand the whole manufacturing process rather than just one small part of it, we would be interested in hearing from you.

What we offer

  • A genuine development role with a clear progression path
  • Exposure to real operational and strategic projects
  • Competitive starting salary
We've signed the Gradcracker feedback pledge.
(This means that we will supply feedback if requested after an interview.)
