We are a team of actuaries, data scientists and developers who deliver multi-award-winning analytics solutions and consultancy support to general insurers. This includes our analytics platform LCP InsurSight, which has assessed over £150bn of insurance business.
We work with a modern tech stack including R, Python, C#, SQL, Azure, Git & other DevOps best practice. We combine our tech skills with deep actuarial and insurance domain knowledge to provide a range of services to insurers. This includes technical pricing, algorithmic underwriting, reserving transformation, claims analytics, data enrichment and supporting upskilling of insurer's own actuarial teams.
This role is on the Graduate programme only.
You will spend most of your time supporting our experienced team on a variety of analytics-based projects.

Our graduate training programme will help you develop your insurance domain knowledge and softer skills (for example presenting and management). A series of scheduled sessions and courses will offer both technical and professional expertise training, including training on Azure and data science.
There will also be training on the job from the other members of the insurance analytics team (for example covering software engineering best practices and writing clear and efficient code), and we make sure this is structured to offer you the widest possible experience in all aspects of what we do.
Additionally, our learning management system, LCPLearn, provides access to hundreds of training resources, including workshops and elearning – allowing an individual to self-serve and drive their own learning.
You will also have the support of LCP’s extensive Digital Services team, comprising engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps professionals, including LCP-wide weekly coding club sessions and monthly tech talks. Finally, we have an in-house mentoring system, so there is always someone there to support you.
There is no set professional qualification associated with this role. However, as your career develops it might be that there are particular courses or professional qualifications that would be beneficial to your development in the role, and we would support you with those.
Insurance underpins almost all of what happens in wider society and is a major part of the UK economy. We use our deep domain knowledge of the insurance industry along with data science, machine learning and cloud computing to improve the speed, scale and quality of analysis insurers can perform, helping them improve all aspects of their businesses. We have already achieved a lot as a team, and we are continuing to grow with excellent opportunities for graduates to develop deep technical skills in analytics and software engineering as well as softer skills including teamwork, project management and presenting.
