GPJ were appointed to develop concept designs and cost estimates for the de-steaming of a large operational hospital. The existing site utilised central steam generation for heating and hot water, with ageing infrastructure and significant energy losses associated with the existing steam systems.

Teams of engineers visited every building on each site photographing and commenting on the condition of the plumbing, heating, ventilation, electrical and alarm systems.

The Royal Military Academy at Sandhurst is the UK’s home of Army officer training. This 200-year old building was in need of a refurbishment and required a new roof along with various M&E upgrades to future proof the building for many years to come.
GPJ Consulting Engineers were appointed by Carrick Leisure to provide M&E designs and ongoing project supervision for this exciting heritage project. The original Gardens and Orangery were constructed in 1907 and have generally remained the same over the years. The Client felt that the building could be upgraded to suit a more diverse audience.
Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) has a 25-year operational lease on a number of leisure centres in the South West of England. The Splash Leisure pool at Bude represented a typical case where capital plant was up for replacement. GPJ Consulting Engineers worked closely with GLL to replace key plant and to incorporate new Building Management Controls.
A pumped storage power generation system utilises a body of water pumped to a height and released when required through hydro-electric turbines to generate a large amount of electrical energy over a short period to act as a buffer to assist the power grid with peaks. GPJ Consulting Engineers are actively researching and developing schemes which utilises redundant deep shaft mines to provide the high and low level storage. This minimises surface disruption.
GPJ Consulting Engineers were appointed by the University Estates Team to work alongside the other members of the project team to provide a fully designed Mechanical and Electrical installation for the new 1000 sqm Fox 4 Creative Arts Building.
