Martin Harrop

Offshore Analysis Manager

  • University of Durham
  • Level of Study: Master's
  • Course: Mathematics
  • Year joined AE: 2010

What they enjoy most about AE: The collaborative atmosphere where projects are completed working together with lots of other disciplines.

Progression from Graduate to where they are now: After summer placements while at university, I started with Aquaterra in 2010 within the offshore (riser) analysis team. I progressed to office lead in Cambridge in 2014 and departmental manager in 2015. I've been involved with 100s of different analysis and company-wide projects and learnt a lot about business and the industry along the way. It's exciting to be involved with the offshore energy market moving away from traditional oil and gas into CCS and offshore wind.

Extra information: Having started as a graduate and now being part of the management team, I would recommend Aquaterra Energy for new engineers. We are a large enough team that you can learn from lots of different people, but small enough that your contribution makes a difference.
