I am a part of the Science and Technology scheme which allows for research and upskilling projects to be supported by the company. I wanted to continue to investigate how artificial intelligence can be used in the industry and NNL have allowed me to lead a small project in this area. I have also been invited to participate in the postdoctoral scheme which aims to develop subject matter experts, this has set a clear path for my progression over the next two years.
Within my current role I am working on several projects which range from reactor design to developing global energy market software. I have enjoyed the different challenges and working with the different teams which come with each of the project as this has helped me develop.
NNL has been expanding rapidly due to the UK’s nuclear sectors growth and this will continue.
I believe that NNL offers a great opportunity to enter the industry at a very exciting time. I did not know how many different capabilities that the company had until I joined, no matter what the discipline is, I believe the company can find value in your role so that you can be challenged everyday and support a very good cause.
