Supply Chain/Commercial Graduate

Supply Chain & Logistics, Business, Economics, Finance.

About the Role

Looking to shape the future of energy while building a career that's unique to you? At EDF, Success is Personal. You'll learn from experts, develop valuable commercial and procurement skills, and build a career that helps Britain achieve net zero.

What's it like to be a Graduate at EDF?
Immy, Jenny and Chiyedza share what life on the Graduate Scheme at EDF is like.

The Opportunity

Alongside earning a salary of £35,000 per annum, you'll join our two-year Supply Chain Graduate Programme, expected to begin in September 2027. From day one, you'll become part of our graduate community and start building a career that sits at the heart of one of the UK's most critical industries.

As part of the programme, you'll work towards a fully funded CIPS Level 4 Diploma in Procurement and Supply, developing the professional knowledge and practical experience needed to thrive in a commercial supply chain environment.

Over the course of the scheme, you'll gain experience at one of EDF's Nuclear leading Stations, Sizewell B as well as develop relationships with and our central Supply Chain team and other UK Stations. You'll develop an understanding of procurement, contract management, supplier relationships, forecasting, strategic sourcing and commercial delivery, while contributing to projects that support the UK's transition to a low-carbon future.

What You’ll Experience

Throughout the programme, you'll work alongside procurement specialists, commercial managers, contract managers and supply chain professionals who play a vital role in supporting the generation here at Sizewell B.

You'll gain hands-on experience while developing skills in:

  • Procurement and sourcing activities
  • Contract management and administration
  • Supplier performance and relationship management
  • Cost forecasting and commercial analysis
  • Stakeholder engagement and collaboration
  • Strategic supply chain planning
  • Commercial decision-making and problem solving

You'll take on real responsibility from the beginning, working on live projects that have a direct impact on the success of EDF's operations and major infrastructure programmes. Along the way, you'll receive structured learning, mentoring and support to help you reach your full potential.

The variety of placements will help you discover where your interests lie while developing the confidence, commercial awareness and professional network needed for a successful long-term career.

Location

You'll be based at one of our key sites – #Leiston #Sizewell B – with opportunities to complete placements across different parts of our business depending on project and development requirements.

Most roles require attendance on site between three and five days per week. During the programme, you may be asked to relocate temporarily for placements, and we'll provide practical and financial support to help make these moves as smooth as possible.

Where This Programme Could Take You

As a Nuclear Supply Chain Graduate at EDF, I had the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range of disciplines, including procurement, supplier relationship management, and contract management. From day one, I was trusted with real responsibility and empowered to make a meaningful contribution.

The programme provided the flexibility to explore areas that interested me most, while also offering the support and development needed to build a strong foundation as a supply chain professional. During the scheme, I worked with central teams to develop key supplier relationships, supported critical projects on EDF's operating nuclear sites, and contributed to the construction of Hinkley Point C, Europe's largest construction project. These experiences have enabled me to progress into a Supply Chain Specialist role at EDF, where I now manage the procurement and contract delivery of several multi-million-pound contracts.

Due to the nature of the programme, you may need to travel between sites.
