As a Commercial Graduate, you'll earn a salary of £35,000 per annum and begin your career at EDF power solutions in early September 2027. You'll develop commercial, analytical and strategic skills while building a strong foundation for a long-term career in the renewable energy sector.
Over this 24-month programme, you'll rotate across a range of commercial functions, gaining exposure to project development, investment decisions, market analysis and business strategy. You'll contribute to meaningful work that supports renewable energy projects while helping us deliver An Electric UK and Ireland.
As a Commercial Graduate at EDF power solutions, you'll spend time across the business developing your understanding of the renewable energy industry while supporting the delivery of commercial, strategic and analytical advice to internal stakeholders.
You'll complete three or four placements across key business areas, including Strategy, Markets and Investments. Here, you'll explore how market trends, policy developments and investment decisions shape the future of renewable energy projects, while gaining experience in project origination, valuation and portfolio development.
You'll also work with Business Unit Development Teams, supporting projects from initial concept through development, financial close and construction. You'll gain valuable insight into how major wind, solar and battery projects are brought to life and develop practical commercial skills that will support your future career.
You'll be based at one of our key sites in #Edinburgh, #London or #Durham. Throughout the programme, you'll work with colleagues across a variety of commercial disciplines and renewable energy projects.
To get the most from the programme, you'll work on-site at least three days per week. You'll therefore need to live, or be willing to relocate, within a reasonable commuting distance of your chosen base location.

To be eligible for this EDF power solutions graduate programme, you need to have achieved, or be expecting to achieve, a bachelor's or postgraduate degree in a numerical discipline. You'll enjoy working with data and using insight to understand market trends, evaluate performance and support commercial decision-making.
Please note that an Assessment Centre stage of the hiring process will take place online, on 3rd December 2026. Applicants must be able to attend on this date to be considered for the programme.
