have obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering, successfully completing a three years undergraduate course at the University of Cagliari, Italy.
I have also completed a two years MSc in Energy, in the same university. I have spent half of this two year masters at Pannon University, Faculty of Engineering in Hungary, with the Erasmus exchange programme.
During my studies, I was passionately involved in developing a critical understanding of the significant changes afoot in the energy system. Because of this I have decided to take a second MSc in Sustainable Electrical Power at Brunel University, London.
Air Products is a dynamic organisation that appreciates the development of staff, encourages training and allows young graduates to contribute to the smooth running of the business.
Air Products runs the EDP (Engineering Development Programme) scheme with the purpose of training young talented graduates in their chosen disciplines.
The scheme is very well structured and one of the main objectives is to obtain the chartered accreditation from the related engineering institution (IET for Electrical Engineering).
I joined Air Products in September 2014 as an EDP Electrical Engineer.
I have completed two assignments within the electrical departments of Engineering and Production in Hersham, UK.
Firstly, my work and responsibilities have been to assist lead electrical engineers in their projects and to assist project development engineers during project proposals.
I am now leading electrical engineering projects, I am currently responsible for one region (Italy) and I do provide high level support to our plants and maintenance team in Europe.
The main objects of the Electrical EDP scheme are to become familiar with all of Air Products electrical standards and design procedures, to be exposed to as many design activities as possible in order to develop the necessary engineering design skills and confidence to undertake Upgrade of existing old electrical equipment in order to comply with actual regulations and standards.
Opportunity to travel around Europe, the great career opportunities and chance to be involved in several electrical equipment designs.
Become a Charter Engineer and advance to Principal Electrical Engineer.
