The Accelerate Programme

The Accelerate Programme is Capgemini Invent UK's award winning graduate development programme. Over approximately 19 to 21 months, you'll progress from Associate Consultant to Consultant through a blend of structured learning, coaching, mentoring and hands on client experience.

Following an initial three week induction and a twelve week consulting training programme delivered by the Institute, you'll move into your chosen pathway, applying your skills on live client projects while benefiting from ongoing development, regular feedback and a strong graduate community. Travel to client sites may be required, and candidates should live within reasonable commuting distance of their chosen office location.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business. It will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home. Please note that you will be unable to work from home 100 percent of the time.

About the job you’re considering

Are you passionate about creating meaningful change and solving complex challenges that impact millions of people?

As an Associate Consultant within our Public Sector team, you'll help government departments, agencies and public bodies deliver better outcomes for citizens. Working alongside experienced consultants, you'll contribute to projects that improve services, drive transformation and address some of the UK's most important public sector challenges.

Your Role

As an Associate Consultant, you'll support the delivery of transformation programmes across government and the wider public sector.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Conducting research, analysis and problem solving activities
  • Supporting digital, operational and organisational transformation initiatives
  • Improving business processes and ways of working
  • Engaging with stakeholders to understand challenges and identify solutions
  • Developing recommendations and supporting implementation activities
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver client outcomes

No two projects are the same, giving you the opportunity to build broad consulting experience while developing your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this programme, you must have obtained, or be studying towards, a minimum 2:2 degree. If you are currently studying, you must have completed your degree prior to proposed start date. We recognise that mitigating circumstances can have an impact on academic performance. If you have experienced any circumstances that you would like us to take into consideration, please provide details in your application.

Your skills and experience

We're looking for curious, motivated graduates who are excited by the opportunity to make a positive impact through their work.

You'll ideally demonstrate:

  • Curiosity about technology, digital innovation and transformation
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
  • Adaptability and resilience in changing environments

At Capgemini Invent, we take a holistic approach to recruitment. While academic achievement is considered, we equally value potential, curiosity and mindset, which will be assessed throughout the recruitment process.
