About the programme:

The Deutsche Bank Graduate Programme is a year-long comprehensive programme designed to provide you with exposure to a range of fascinating projects and ongoing professional and technical training to develop the skills you need to grow your career. You’ll feel supported by a network of peers and mentors and benefit from our global wellbeing programme.

About the division:

Group Audit has over 700 staff globally, located primarily in our four hub locations: New York, London, Frankfurt and Singapore as well as in 26 other countries. The hallmarks of our professional, business focused, risk-based work are independence, integrity and transparency. Essentially, Group Audit provides an independent assessment of the efficacy of the Bank’s control environment.

Being Deutsche Bank’s ‘third line of defense’ we have a high profile in the bank as a forward looking adviser to Senior Management on issues and Group Audit is increasingly consulted for advice by our many regulators.

Our global connectivity provides a stimulating environment and the opportunity to collaborate with knowledgeable colleagues and specialists around the globe.

About the role:

Working on our day-to-day business as well as on special projects, you will need to have an eye for detail, a high level of commitment and a desire to work towards specific goals. You will support the relevant audit manager with audit planning and will begin making an important contribution to the success of audits within a few weeks.

Your sphere of responsibility will continually expand and encompass more complex tasks. By collaborating with contacts from across the GA business, you will gain an extensive insight into the working methods within our bank and the challenges faced by different departments.

The specific tasks that you deal with will depend on your role within the team. You will learn from the best, evolve professionally as well as personally, and build a firm foundation upon which to specialise later.

Areas in which you could work

  • Business aligned teams such as Investment Bank, Corporate Bank, Private Bank and Capital Release Unit
  • Infrastructure aligned teams such as Technology, Risk, COO, Compliance, Sourcing, Anti-Financial Crime or Finance
  • Central teams such as Methodology, Staff Development or Quality Assurance.

What we look for:

We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines. Even though good levels of numeracy are important for some roles, you won’t necessarily need a formal mathematical or financial background. Our comprehensive training programmes will give you all the technical knowledge you’ll need to build a career with us.

To be eligible for the 2027 Graduate Programme you must:

  • Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st January 2026 and 31st July 2027.
  • Be able to start full time work in July 2027, subject to local working legislation and visa requirements.
  • Be on track for a 2:1 or First (or equivalent) in your undergraduate degree.
  • Possess no more than 12 months full-time, relevant work experience.

Please note you may only make ONE application per recruitment season in the UK. If you make multiple applications with multiple profiles, you may be removed from the recruitment process.

Please note we hire on a rolling basis, and we may close the role prior to the deadline if we receive a significant number of applications. If the role is due to close early, the deadline will be updated 48 hours in advance. Please apply early to ensure your application is considered.
