Why did you apply to Arqiva?

I applied to Arqiva because I thought the people in the business seemed very kind and supportive – exactly what I was looking for early in my career when I knew I had a lot to learn. I met some Arqiva colleagues at a Networking event and saw testimony videos from members of my team online. I thought the people exuded warmth and capability. I was right!

I also applied to Arqiva because I was excited and intrigued by the direction the business was going in. Our business is very clear on who we want to be (as evidenced by our fantastic culture goals) and where we want to go (indicated by our clear ‘Focus 2024’ goals). Arqiva has a long and rich heritage which I respect but is also in an exciting transition phase. We are striving to succeed in new, exciting markets which I find motivating – I want to be part of the effort.

Any advice to potential applicants?

If you are a kind, thoughtful, and capable person: Arqiva is for you, and you are for Arqiva.

If our purpose and direction intrigue or excite you – APPLY. It’s really quick! 

Apply honestly and try to show your authentic self. For interviews and assessment centre, prepare well so your personality can shine through.

Tips for interview preparation:

• Learn about the nature of Arqiva and what we’re working on right now.
• Write down STARL (situation, task, action, result, learning) answers to common graduate interview questions. Try to think of two different example answers to each question.
• Lastly, on the day of your assessment centre, bring a notepad and pen into your interview. Write the question and your answer down before speaking. This will give you time to understand the question; think of a good answer; and it deliver your answer in a way you are proud of.
