Create Real Impact from Day One

At Siemens, we create technology that transforms the everyday. Whether you're passionate about tech, engineering, sustainability, or business strategy, you won’t just be watching from the sidelines — you’ll contribute to real-world projects that shape industries and communities across the UK.

The application process
Amy explains the Siemens application process: an initial application, the Arctic Shores games-based assessment, an on-demand video interview, and a final interview or assessment centre.

What Will You Be Doing?

Your journey begins with the first of two high-impact, 12-month placements across our UK offices (with relocation support provided to help you settle in smoothly). We encourage office presence to help you learn, connect, and thrive. We offer 2-3 days working remotely as well!

While building your hands-on commercial experience, you will work towards a professional accounting qualification, backed by salary increases of £1,000–£3,000 as you pass each exam level. By the time you graduate from the scheme, you’ll be ready to launch a rewarding career at Siemens.

Each placement and business area varies but your daily duties can include but are not limited to:

  • Using SAP to analyse current Siemens financial data.
  • Using Excel to build financial reports and guide financial performance.
  • Supporting the wider finance team specifically Management and Project Accountants.
  • Studying towards your accounting qualification or other training & development courses.

Life on the Programme: In Our Graduates' Words

Because every rotation and business area is unique, your journey builds a truly versatile commercial toolkit. Here is how two of our current graduates describe life on the ground:

  • "In my role, I lead on invoice disputes, where I investigate why customers haven’t paid and fix errors in SAP to keep our cash flow healthy. I also manage both ISS and Functional Safety projects; this includes leading project reviews with project managers to track our progress. Between training in Advanced Excel, storytelling in presentations, and SAP, I have found all these experiences incredibly beneficial to my role and development." — Finance & Commercial Graduate
  • "The days and tasks vary widely, around year end I have been consolidating accounts’ financial positions/balances between our records, SAP and BA Dash – both large data structures. I also do this every month end and the end of each quarter. During less busy periods, I am sitting in meetings where pricing and financial strategy are discussed, alongside client feedback. I have recently created the Sales report for FY27, which sales, rebates and commission information will be used for the upcoming year." — Finance & Commercial Graduate

What We’re Looking For

  • Gained or on track to achieve a 2:2 or above in a Finance/Accounting Degree.
  • Experience working within a finance-related department would be advantageous but not crucial.
  • You approach problems with clear logic, are eager to self-learn and research, and consistently adopt a forward-thinking mentality.
  • You are flexible, and adaptable and happy to relocate to different parts of the UK for this programme.
  • You demonstrate the ability to work independently, safely, and responsibly. You own your challenges and ideas, and you are eager to enhance your skills in driving and leading change.
  • You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions.

What's In It For You?

Continuous Growth:

  • A dedicated induction week away to build your national peer network.
  • Structured rotations, continuous mentoring, and formal professional development.
  • A celebration at our annual GB&I Recognition Awards upon programme graduation.

Flexibility & Wellbeing:

  • 26 days' paid holiday + 5 dedicated paid volunteering days.
  • Subsidised gym memberships and wellbeing support.
  • Discounts on everyday retail, travel, and lifestyle spending.

Purpose-Driven Work:

  • Direct involvement in UK sustainability and community initiatives.
  • Contributing to meaningful projects that use technology and innovation to make a positive real-world impact.
