Simcenter Flomaster is a system simulation CFD software that specialises in 1D thermo-fluid system modelling to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in complex systems. You will develop your skills in software engineering by adding new features, enhancing existing capabilities, and writing automated tests.

Our software enables customers across Aerospace, Automotive, Energy, and Power & Process industries to accelerate and optimise their designs by predicting product behaviour before building physical prototypes.

About Siemens Digital Industries Software

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.

About the Role

For our 13-month engineering internships, starting July 2027, we are offering 5 positions based in Milton Keynes. There are mainly two types of roles:

  • CFD/Research, Software Engineering and Testing
  • Software Engineering and Testing

Simcenter Flomaster is a system simulation CFD software developed in Milton Keynes, specialises in 1D Thermo-Fluid system modelling to simulate fluid flow and heat transfer in complex systems. You will be part of the Development/Quality Assurance teams. You will get the opportunity to develop your skills on software engineering by adding new features and enhancing existing capabilities coupled with writing automated tests for Simcenter Flomaster.

  • Role 1: While working primarily on Simcenter Flomaster, you may also get opportunity to learn other engineering software such as Simcenter Amesim and Simcenter Star CCM+. You will develop interesting CFD models and produce validation studies demonstrating the capabilities of the software.
  • Role 2: You will focus primarily on core software development, engineering robust new features and automated testing frameworks.
