AECOM’s Ports and Maritime team is seeking a Graduate Ports Engineer with a civil and structural academic background to support in a technical role across multiple UK and international projects.
You’ll join an established team with over 200 years of combined experience, delivering world-class maritime and coastal infrastructure. Our portfolio includes projects for local authorities, private developers, defence clients, and internal AECOM teams in the UK and overseas.
As a Graduate Ports Engineer, you will develop and learn the skills to undertake design, analysis and supervision of civil and structural works, in the marine and coastal environment. Typical projects include the development, rehabilitation, and protection of port and harbour structures such as quay walls, jetties, piers, revetments, breakwaters, dolphins, fendering systems, linkspan supports, and scour protection.
You’ll contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle — from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and construction support — ensuring solutions are safe, sustainable, and compliant with UK and international standards.
We provide industry leading support to different Sectors; Renewable Energy, Decarbonisation of infrastructure, Global Goods Movement, Defence Resilience, Cruise ports, Rehabilitation of historic structures, Marinas, Waterfront Development, Fishing Industry and Ferry Terminal to keep communities connected, these are some of them.
