Alice - Buying Graduate

What’s involved?

As a Buying Graduate, you'll enjoy early responsibility as an assistant buyer, before quickly training to become a buyer in a specialised product area. Learn on-the-job from experienced buyers, get involved in supplier agreements and go on placements within a store to understand our customers and colleagues. During your time on our 2-year programme, you could be:

  • Collaborating with suppliers to ensure we’re able to offer the best products at the best costs
  • Sourcing and selecting ranges within your product area to give our customers a great choice
  • Forecasting sales and trade plans to ensure budgets and project timelines are up to date

Our structured training and the opportunity to work on exciting projects means you’ll have plenty of opportunities to progress and learn while with us. By the end of the programme, you could be ready to specialise in a product area and develop your career as a buyer.

Make good things happen

Our graduates get access to a range of employee benefits, including a holiday buying scheme, contributory pension scheme, store discounts and MyPerks. This reward and benefits platform is regularly updated with new offers and discounts, including cashback at popular retailers, savings on entertainment and discounted cinema tickets.

At Hilmore House, our 5-day working week (Monday to Friday) gives our people the opportunity to collaborate with their teams.
