Over the 2-years, you’ll take part in a variety of placements that focus on getting you ready to be one of our operations managers. You’ll start by working across all areas of the store, gaining a full overview of store operations and systems before undergoing leadership training to support your development towards leading departments of your own.
You’ll then be ready to roll off the scheme as an Operations Manager, where you’ll also have the opportunity to apply for our Store Manager development programme. Over these two years, day-to-day tasks that you will take on could include:
You will be at the forefront of making our customers feel welcome and ensuring they enjoy their shopping experience at Morrisons, all by getting stuck into a variety of activities that will go beyond 9-5. Your role will involve early starts, late finishes and weekends, as well as working bank holidays and during peak times of the year. It’s hard work for sure, but it’s also very rewarding.

We are food makers and shop keepers, and together, we make Morrisons. You’ll need to be a great listener, communicator and a people person, whether you lead and encourage diverse teams or have a passion for food that you share with colleagues and customers. We also need you to be flexible to move between stores and locations where you may need to commute up to 25 miles. A minimum 2:2 degree and a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are vital for this scheme. Other key qualities we’d like to see include:
