Tasks
Development/configuration of new Java-based software applications on the basis of detailed specifications
Design, coding and debugging of applications
Defining and documenting operating procedures
Understanding technical design specifications and translating them into implementation details
Supporting the general delivery process on projects, helping the customer with on-site support activities
Understanding and analysing a client's organisation/operation and requirements in order to produce recommendations, technical design documents and time/cost estimates
Qualifications
A minimum Bachelor’s degree (2.1 or higher) is required in Computer Science, or in a Technology-related field
Initial Java EE programming experience is preferred
A strong interest in specialising as a Java developer
Computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, problem-solving
Knowledge of front-end technologies, Javascript, HTML and CSS, Backend Systems, Database technology (MySQL/Oracle) and testing tools (J/MUnit, Mockito etc.)
Initial knowledge of DevOps, IDE / SVC, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, JetBrains IntelliJ etc.
