The programme provides graduates from various backgrounds with the opportunity to work alongside some of the most experienced and talented people in the construction industry.

The aim of our graduate programme is to develop the future leaders of our business. For all our Graduate programmes we are looking for specialists in engineering (mechanical, electrical or chemical), STEM, Geography, accounting and finance or business-based degrees.

The Programme

Our graduate trainee manager programmes have been designed to attract, develop, and retain the graduates who will become our future leaders.

During the programme you will get the chance to participate in wider company development activities and project delivery as well as commit time to your professional development in role. We will support you with a variety of training modules and one-to-one coaching from managers and mentors.

To put yourself in the best possible position to get the most from the programme, you will need to have enthusiasm for personal and professional development and the determination to succeed.

We will equip you with an in-depth understanding of our business and the leadership, technical and people skills you’ll need as a future business leader.

Real responsibilities, straight away from day one, you will be working alongside managers and employees in challenging and diverse roles that make a real contribution to our business outcomes.

Providing you with a long term career path, the graduate programme is only the first step in what could be a fulfilling career at Heidelberg Materials; within the two or three years, you are likely to be one of our frontline leaders within one of our 300 sites across the UK.

Requirements

  • A degree, preferably a 2:1, in any of the following engineering (mechanical, electrical, or chemical), STEM, geography, accounting and finance or business-based degrees.
  • Ability to express yourself through both verbal and written communication
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including the full suite of Microsoft applications
  • Full, clean UK driving licence for UK travel
  • Able to relocate
  • British citizen or UK settled status
