The commitments we make in our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme are an integral part of our business and reflect and inform our firm values.
Our long association with Holborn inspires a sense of belonging and concern for the community and, for several years now, we have supported the Holborn Community Association (HCA). This provides opportunities to get involved in local initiatives, especially those that provide support to young people.
Whether it’s helping save the honeybee, recycling batteries and paper, or choosing Fair Trade tea and coffee, we are determined to pursue a sustainable workplace.
We have made a commitment to manage our environmental footprint proactively and to reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. To achieve carbon neutrality, Carpmaels & Ransford is working with Climate Impact Partners, specialist in carbon market solutions for climate action.
We are also engaged in the Midtown Bee Project and installed a beehive on our roof in 2016, which is now tended to by our thriving Bee Club.
Our Charity of the Year scheme enables the Carpmaels & Ransford community to raise awareness and funds for a cause that we are passionate about.
Blood Cancer UK was our chosen charity for 2025. This charity represents a 280,000-strong community of people in this country living with or in remission from leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancers. Our fundraising efforts helped to support the charity’s funding of £27m of research across 83 research projects in the UK.
Our chosen charity for 2024 was The National Brain Appeal. We more than doubled our original fundraising target of £10,000 last year, raising a total of £22,500. In 2023, we were proud to support City Harvest, a food surplus charity aiming to tackle food poverty in London.
Carpmaels & Ransford staff took part in the 11th year of A Letter in Mind, The National Brain Appeal’s annual art fundraiser. Volunteers helped across a week-long exhibition – they moved artwork into the gallery, assisted the gallery installer with putting up shelves, hanging artwork, helping out during the Private Viewing and helping take down the exhibition.
