"I was tempted out of retirement to join EES on a 3-day week basis back in April of this year. My roll is business development anywhere in the world but also using my expertise in the Middle East to develop a cohesive / sustainable business strategy in the region.
After 6 months I love working with EES and I believe this is down to the friendly people, a mixture of older experienced people mixed with young graduate engineers, who are given a chance to develop.
It affords me the opportunity to pass on my knowledge after 40 + years in the industry to help develop a new growing business. I am also now learning again. I also like the fact that the company is embracing an educational institution to look inwardly at its own development and I like being a part of this process.
Since April, I see my main achievements being the setting up of the beginnings of an agent network in the Gulf, we are starting now to see new enquiries for our products from the region which will eventually result in new business for EES which is bringing about a sense of fulfilment.
The product has a niche position in the market which is supported by a very high level of knowledge and Intellectual Property within EES."
