Our Summer Internships offer high calibre students the opportunity to experience work and life at Ankura and gain a valuable insight into our business and culture. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. You will be doing real work, with real clients, so be prepared to get stuck in!

The duration of the internship is 10 weeks from June to August. *Should the pandemic continue, the internship programme may be adjusted to comply with any Government guidelines.

Disputes & Economics Practice

The Disputes & Economics practice focuses on assisting clients with financial, accounting, valuation and economic issues associated with complex litigation.  This practice acts in diverse consulting engagements including preparation of expert reports and testimony in forensic accounting and valuation matters, consumer class action matters, and complex investigations.

Interns perform a wide range of functions that may include:

  • developing and performing financial, accounting, economic, and statistical analyses;
  • developing models using data analytic tools and programs;
  • performing detailed and complex spreadsheet analyses;
  • assisting with data and information gathering activities including document review and research, quality control of analyses and reports;
  • preparation of client reports and exhibits.


  • You’ll need to be in your penultimate year of an undergraduate or postgraduate degree; or
  • You’ll need to be in your final year of an undergraduate degree with a one-year postgraduate place confirmed; and
  • You’ll need to have, or be on course, for a 2.1 degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other analytical course of study.
  • A working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Initiative, adaptability, creative problem-solving skills, an ability to work well with teams, and the ability to work flexibly when needed.
  • Advanced technical skills such as database and statistical programming languages, including Access, SQL, R, Stata, Python are a plus.
  • In addition to English, a second language would be beneficial

  • in no more than 300 words outline your understanding of forensic accounting and valuation expert services
