NATS is the UK’s leading Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP). Every year we handle around 2.5 million flights and over 300 million passengers travelling in UK airspace. We provide air traffic management (ATM) services to 15 airports in the UK, as well as services to customers across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.

This 12-month placement may be based at our Head Office in Whiteley, Hampshire, or at our Air Traffic Control Centres in Swanwick, Hampshire or Prestwick, Scotland.
The placement will be in Information Solutions (IS), a critical business department. Our purpose is to provide enterprise IT services that enhance productivity and keep our information safe. Our vision is to proudly serve our customers through effective, innovative and sustainable use of information and technology. Information Solutions provides a wide spectrum of business IT services that all our users need to do their day-to-day jobs.
Everything from hardware such as laptops, desktops, mobile phones and network equipment, through to productivity tooling, collaboration platforms, corporate and specific lines of business applications.
You will gain experience in how the organisation manages technology, suppliers, services and business change in order to deliver against business objectives and the IS strategy. This is a perfect opportunity to kick start a career in business IT.

You’ll need to be studying towards a relevant degree which allows you to take a placement opportunity as part of it, and have an interest in Information Solutions and technology.
To be eligible to apply, you must have indefinite, unrestricted right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we cannot consider candidates whose right to work is time-limited or dependent on visa sponsorship.

If you apply and meet the minimum requirements for the placement, you’ll be invited to complete online tests. Candidates who pass this stage may be invited to a virtual assessment centre.
Assessment centres will be held between 30 November and 11 December 2026.
The placement will start on 6 September 2027.
