As a graduate or undergraduate Aircraft Maintenance & Support Engineer, you'll develop a broad understanding of aircraft systems and the activities undertaken in design, development, test, maintenance and support.
BAE Systems Military Air & Information (MAI) is the air sector of BAE Systems, responsible for the design and build of fixed wing military and training aircraft, as well as providing training, support and information services for the UK RAF and other customers worldwide.
As an Aerospace Engineering you would cover a range of disciplines including aerodynamics, electromagnetics, structures, integration, airworthiness, support engineering, mission systems, test engineering, flight systems and training systems integration.

To succeed in this area, you’ll need a minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in an engineering, numerical or scientific subject, be eligible to work in the UK and be able to successfully achieve security clearance. Qualifications aside, you’ll also need an analytical mind, a keen eye for detail and a highly methodical approach to work. A strong communicator, you’ll know how to collaborate effectively with both internal and external customers. Placements will be based across a number of MAI locations including Warton, Samlesbury, Humberside as well as RAF Bases. On completion it is highly likely that you will be given the opportunity to support our products in the export market by working overseas.
We also offer a range of 12-month placement opportunities starting Summer 2017 for undergraduates based in Military Air & Information - Warton/ Samlesbury/ Filton. You’ll be working with some of the top experts in their field. Taking your place as part of the team, you’ll share the everyday challenges and the long-term objectives to get a valuable insight into our business. You will earn a salary of £18,000.
