Commercial Partnerships, Film and Media offers a unique blend of commercial strategy and creativity. From supporting film shoots for major production companies and delivering innovative brand activations across the network, to overseeing the installation of new advertising assets, you'll be at the centre of high-profile initiatives that generate revenue while enhancing London's cultural and customer experience.
TfL is the beating heart of London, globally recognised, locally loved. Our commercial partnerships, film and media teams make the most of our true London brand to leverage over £200 million in non-fare revenue to the business. As the third largest revenue stream for the business, it is essential for our teams to continue to work with the advertising, film and brand licensing industries to deliver growth in exciting and innovative ways.
As a graduate, your 2-year development programme will be made up of up to 4 six-month placement rotations. Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience you need for a successful career.
We also understand that everyone’s career is different, so every graduate’s journey is unique. Here’s an idea of what yours could look like in Commercial Partnerships, Film and Media:
The Film Office facilitates filming across the network, whether this is a small fashion shoot, a vibrant music video or large Netflix production. Some of the well-known productions we have accommodated on the TfL network include James Bond, Killing Eve, Sherlock, Luther, Paddington, All of Us Strangers and Slow Horses.
The Brand Licensing team is responsible for protecting the TfL brand and its creative assets, from the iconic Roundel to the distinctive moquette patterns found across the network. A public poll by the UK intellectual Property Office placed the TfL Roundel in the top 10 most iconic trademarks.
The team works with a wide range of partners to bring the TfL brand to life through innovative licensing opportunities. Over the past year, this has included launching a collection of tech accessories with CASETiFYi, expanding the successful socks range with the London Sock Company, and tube line themed handbags with PomPom, and launching our third on-demand printed clothing collection with Uniqlo.
The Commercial Partnerships & Experiential team works directly with brands and media agencies to create unique and memorable experiences across the TfL network through innovative collaborative partnerships.
In 2026, the team celebrated Warburtons' 150th anniversary with a complete takeover of Baker Street station, renamed Canary Wharf station to 'KANEary Wharf' in recognition of England captain Harry Kane with Skechers, and most recently brought Audible stories to life through an immersive takeover of the King's Cross Northern line ticket hall. These high-profile activations demonstrate how the network can be transformed into a powerful platform for storytelling, brand engagement and cultural moments.
Commercial Media plays a vital role in generating revenue for TfL by managing and developing one of the UK's largest and most diverse advertising estates. The team works with many media partners including Global, JCDecaux, Build Hollywood and Marketing Force to deliver advertising opportunities across the transport network, from traditional posters, digital advertising screens and new innovative ideas including digital corridor wraps.

We are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and aim to reflect the diverse communities we serve. We believe that a diverse workforce enables us to deliver better services and outcomes. Our goal is to make our recruitment as inclusive as possible. As a Disability Confident Leader, we actively encourage applications from disabled people.
As part of the Disability Confident scheme, we aim to offer an assessment or interview to candidates who apply via the scheme where the minimum essential criteria for skills, knowledge and experience has been met. In some circumstances, it may not be practical to offer an interview or assessment to every candidate who applies through the scheme and meet the minimum essential criteria; in these situations, we select candidates who best meet the minimum criteria for the job rather than interviewing all who meet them.
Across all recruitment activity, we recognise that selection methods may vary depending on the nature and scale of the campaign and will be applied fairly, consistently and proportionately in line with our Disability Confident commitments.
In High Volume campaigns including Graduate, Apprentice and Intern recruitment the minimum criteria we set is achieving a pass mark in our first stage assessments, adopting a proportionate approach to the Disability Confident Offer an Interview scheme.
Please let us know if you require any reasonable adjustments for any stages of the application process.
