Account Manager, Client Services

My role

As an Account Manager at HCG, I help bridge the gap between science and education. Working in partnership with pharmaceutical companies, we ensure that research and clinical trial data is delivered with the right message to the right audience at the right time. Throughout my time at HCG, I’ve worked on a variety of commercial and medical affairs projects and have been lucky enough to travel around Europe to attend a few congress and standalone events.

The role

If you have a scientific background with a creative flair and a keen eye for organization and efficiency, the role of an Account Manager could be the role for you! Although a scientific role is beneficial, it is not necessary for you to succeed in this role. Even if you are a strong communicator with the ability to bring all departments together to deliver timely projects and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, this role would be a great fit.

Best bits

I thoroughly enjoy the moments when my mind gets to be creative, by participating in brainstorming sessions for novel ways to deliver impactful medical education whilst finding innovative solutions to a clients needs.

The environment at HCG is super friendly and supportive, with everyone at all levels offering understanding and assistance making HCG an enjoyable place to work.

In addition, I am part of the Social Committee and have been involved in project teams based not just in the UK but also in US and Manila which has allowed me to collaborate with new people whom I would have otherwise not met and introduced me to new friends across the globe!

Day to day

  • Ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Attend internal and external meetings
  • Update project status, financial trackers and other project-related documentation
  • Track and forecast project finances to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Manage resourcing across scientific, creative and editorial teams
  • Make use of daily £5 canteen benefit on either lunch or breakfast
  • Take part in fun social activities within the agency
