About our Internships

We endeavour to provide a rewarding yet challenging atmosphere.

In order to sustain and develop our business, an investment in the future is crucial. We maintain long-standing relationships with academic institutions and schools in order to attract the best future engineers and support team.

A career in Civil Engineering is an exciting and dynamic one. Not many industries make such a tangible difference to our civilisation, and we need to ensure that we have the best talent to meet the ever-increasing demands of our society and the ever-changing face of ourinfrastructure needs.

Tony Gee offers both summer and yearly internships to undergraduate students, primarily on Civil Engineering degree courses.

We endeavour to provide a rewarding yet challenging atmosphere so that skills learnt at university can be readily applied to real life situations. Everyone studying with us gets involved in actual projects, and work undertaken is always relevant to your studies.

Our students slot seamlessly into our teams

Our students work alongside staff of all levels, having the chance to develop impressive technical and business skills along the way. All sponsored students take up work placements during the summer and whichever team you join, there’ll always be another student working close by, encouraging companionship and confidence.

Each summer, Tony Gee runs their annual Student and Apprentice Week, now in its 21st year. This week away from the office is set aside for visiting construction sites relating to Tony Gee projects, plus a variety of learning activities which enhance the understanding of the wider world of construction. This week is great opportunity to learn more about the industry, the company and other students, who may end up being future colleagues.
