We're looking for a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice to join our Design Team based in Salford or Exeter, working towards a Level 6 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days' annual leave, 24/7 Wellbeing Support Programme, and even more.

How does an apprenticeship work?

As a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to gain practical experience whilst you study towards a BEng in Civil Engineering with our university partner, Salford and Exeter, all tuition and accommodation fees covered by us. You'll work closely with the Design team to support in providing expert design, engineering and technical advice in Kier.

Your day to day will include:

  • Supporting the engineering function with management of project documentation and technical administration
  • Learn about the production of intelligent BIM models to support tender schemes and project delivery
  • Help with the production of 2D CAD drawings to support engineering functions
  • Contribute to the production of design deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports and design risk assessments
  • Attending university during pre-determined block weeks to attend lectures and meet other students on your course

What are we looking for?

To enrol onto your degree, you will need:

  • 5 GCSE's graded at at 4/C or above including English and Maths
  • 3 A Levels ABB minimum, must include Maths at grade B or above and a science OR BTEC Extended Diploma (DDM) in a Construction or Engineering related subject, with at least a Merit in the Maths unit
  • Equivalent to 128 UCAS Points
