We need Design Engineers in our Bristol Satellite office and in the Pembridge, Herefordshire Studio to work on an exciting array of products with new and long-established clients. You will get the chance to be fully involved in projects soon after starting, but receive support from colleagues to ensure you progress.
Candidates based in our Bristol satellite office will occasionally need to work at the Herefordshire site, especially when larger prototypes are being built.
Key responsibilities:
Contribute to the generation of new concepts
Assist in the design and development of engineering projects from concept through to production
Produce drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks)
Support design calculations, simulations, and technical analysis
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and reports
Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and company procedures
Assist in prototyping, testing, and validation of designs
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for design optimisation
Key Skills & Competencies:
Basic knowledge of engineering principles and design processes
Proficiency in CAD software
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage time and prioritise tasks
Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Product Design, or related field)
Candidates must hold a valid UK driving licence
Candidates must have the permanent right to work in the UK (i.e. do not require visa sponsorship)
Additional information:
28 days' holiday, including bank holidays
Based full-time on-site at either location described above
Salary £31k per annum
