Build Technician

Aerospace, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Systems.

This is an initial 26-week contract which, will likely lead to a full time position for the right person. Starting on NLW as part of a Quickstart scheme but hopefully, leading to full time employment.

We are an Aerospace Engineering Team that design Business Class Aircraft Seating.

Role Responsibilities 

As part of the design process we require to manufacture and build prototypes that assist the designer with the completion of their design. The successful applicant’s main duty will be to manage all elements of the 3D Printing process, required to help the design team with maturing their design.

Other duties will include assisting the Build Technician on-site with some prototype builds.

Potential involvement with design reviews and feedback to designers with any findings from the build of prototypes.

About you

You will need to have basic IT skills, training will be provided but this needs to be picked up quickly. You will also have experience of using manual tools enabling them to assist the assembly of components in the build of various prototypes, but again further training will be provided in the improvement in handling tools.

Finally you need to have the confidence to communicate with the team, helping manage the 3D printing workload.

The standard office hours are 8.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 1.30pm on a Friday. But predominantly engineers work from the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
