Equality, Diversity & Inclusion

At SYSTRA Ltd, we are more focussed than ever on further promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) within our organisation and the wider industry.  We recognise there is still much to be done.  We are building on our existing network of external partners and working with our ED&I colleague engagement group to ensure best practice in all aspects of EDI.

Some examples of activities in the past year include

  • We launched our ED&I colleague engagement group in Autumn 2021 to gather a wider range of input and feedback on all aspects of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Partnering with WISE, Women in Construction and Women in Rail  
  • Arranged local networking events for International Women’s Day 2022
  • Initiated partnership with the Clear Company to support development of our ED&I action plan
  • Updated our graduate recruitment process, incorporating an online interview platform and providing interviewer training focussed on fair and effective interviewing
  • Sponsoring York Pride 2022
  • Holding workshops to promote awareness and understanding on a range of topics such as  colour consciousness, being an effective trans and non-binary ally, neurodiversity and menopause.
