Civil and Structural Engineering at Babcock

The possibilities are many and varied. You might be helping to modernise facilities and infrastructure, or designing cutting-edge structures for the nuclear industry. We do a lot of work for the MoD, which alone offers a whole world of varied opportunities. You might even work with the Royal Navy to adapt the UK’s dockyard services to meet the demands of a modern naval fleet. Whatever you work on, you can be sure you’ll be making a real difference to everyday life in the UK.

Cavendish Nuclear is the UK’s leading nuclear services company, delivering complex projects across the nuclear lifecycle. Our work includes supporting delivery of new-build nuclear power plants, extending the working life of existing nuclear plants and safely decommissioning legacy sites. In addition, we also provide services to support UK Defence which includes the design, construction, upgrade and maintenance of UK critical defence infrastructure. We’re looking for graduates with a wide range of qualities, including high technical skills, good interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new circumstances.

You could be based in a number of locations, you’ll probably call Bristol, Warrington, Leicester or Rosyth home, but you could also work from client sites (including new and existing nuclear power stations, Sellafield, Dounreay, Devonport, Rosyth and Clyde).
