Cargill Global Insurance is responsible for the placement and management of Cargill’s Insurances focused on hazard risk management. The role will report to Regional Insurance Manager EMEA and will provide day to day administration and routine support for the Global Marine Cargo Insurance program/s and regional insurance needs in EMEA, as well as will be assigned other tasks required for the Global Insurance team.
The position is a permanent full time role, hybrid working (office/home)
Key Accountabilities
Day to day administration of the Global Marine Cargo Insurance programme and related placements, handling of on-going production matters (including international programme coordination), in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external service providers; follow up on cargo related insurance projects or stand-alone placements as assigned.
Collection of the underwriting information for various insurance lines (P&C, Auto Liability, Employer’s Liability, D&O) and liaising with various in-house contacts to collect the same.
Ensuring adequate controls and data integrity for the IT systems supporting the programmes.
Trouble-shooting of accounting and IT system issues related to Insurance programmes in coordination with other Global Insurance team members and the insurance broker.
Follow up on invoice payments and/or premium allocations, contract reviews from the insurance perspective for various lines of cover, regulatory and statutory reporting.
Development and enforcement of loss prevention procedures and advice.
Claims follow up on non-cargo insurance lines as assigned, in liaison with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject (Insurance, Economics, Business, Law)
Cert CII, DipCII or equivalent, or working towards it
Proven experience in an in-house insurance risk management function of a trading company, cargo insurance broker or insurer
Knowledge of marine cargo insurance, and the fundamentals of insurance law and principles
Understanding of the contracts and parties involved in international trade
Attention to detail and able to effectively work with diverse teams, perspectives and working styles within a global team
